BERMONDSEY STREET FESTIVAL – SAFETY & SECURITY

With the Bermondsey Street Festival just around the corner, we’re looking forward to seeing the local community come together for a great day.

Our officers will be out and about throughout the festival, working alongside event organisers and partners to help keep everyone safe.

A few simple reminders to help you enjoy the day:

🔐 Keep your belongings secure

Busy events can provide opportunities for pickpockets. Keep phones, wallets and valuables secure and be mindful of your surroundings.

📱 Look after your phone

Avoid leaving your phone or other valuables unattended. Consider registering your phone’s details on a property database before attending.

👀 See it, report it

If you see something that doesn’t look right, speak to an officer or member of the event team. In an emergency, always call 999.

👨‍👩‍👧 Keep an eye on children

Festivals can be busy and distracting. Make sure children know who they can approach for help if they become separated from you.

🚶 Plan your journey

Expect some areas to be busier than usual and allow extra time for your journey. Follow any temporary signs, closures and instructions from event staff.
